About this Programme

Suffering and problems are a natural, inevitable part of our human existence, as the Buddha pointed out in the Four Noble Truths.

Even when we take to heart the Buddha’s teachings and follow the path he showed—which leads to complete liberation from all suffering—we will inevitably run into problems along the way. If we do not know how to deal with these, we could become discouraged and want to give up our practice.

Fortunately, there are methods we can use when facing the problems and difficulties of life that enable us to remain positive, resilient, and joyful. We can even transform these problems into aids for our Dharma practice, helping us to cultivate positive qualities like wisdom and compassion, and to purify our karma and afflictions.

During these three evening talks and one-day retreat, Ven Khadro will share methods from the Tibetan Mind Training (lojong) and Path to Enlightenment (lamrim) teachings on how to transform suffering, and will guide meditations on these.
